Re: Happy Texas Independence Day
I may have mentioned this on the Fest before, but my 6th great grandfather was Sion Bostick, one of the 3 men that captured Santa Anna after the Battle of San Jacinto. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sion_Record_Bostick Proud 8th generation Texan. https://media1.tenor.com/images/b7a6e787ee11f791d4810...

Happy Texas Independence Day
The Texas Declaration of Independence was produced, literally, overnight. Its urgency was paramount because while it was being prepared, the Alamo in San Antonio was under siege by Santa Anna's army of Mexico. Immediately upon the assemblage of the Convention of 1836 on March 1st, a committee of fiv...

Re: Death Storm 2021
My dad literally found a plumber that was on their street in another house. He waited at his truck until he came out and got him to come in their house and got to work. I suggest the same if you see a plumber in your neighborhood. If you don't do that and just call... https://media1.giphy.com/media/...

Re: Death Storm 2021
That's amazing. Glad to hear about the water. Be careful turning it back on. My parents' laundry room is now an ice rink. They had a pipe burst above the washer and it was on for maybe 5 minutes. Drywall is shot and will need to be replaced. It shorted a ceiling light. It's a mess.

Re: Death Storm 2021
I was supposed to fly to Midland tomorrow morning. I canceled that trip. The hotel in Odessa doesn't have power. Some don't have water. Hard pass.

Re: Death Storm 2021
It was -7 this morning in Parker, CO and was cold as balls yesterday. It's warmed up already to the mid-20's and feels pretty nice.
My parents in Katy are without power. I heard in B/CS, they have already communicated to the public that they could be without power for DAYS. Good luck.

Re: JJ Watt released
I'll be rooting for him no matter where he goes. My parents met him, they loved him. As for Ray, I only met him once at an outdoor radio broadcast when I was maybe 10 or 11. He signed my hat and shirt. What's the whole don't meet your heroes line? He was also a badass in Tecmo Super Bowl. Just ask T...

Re: JJ Watt released
We're all a-holes. The only thing that separates us is the extent. Say VS, GAPPING a-hole. Titties...? Does he still drive his purple beemer? If so, hot dog through a hallway a-hole. A buddy of mine worked for the Texans and still knows some of the people there. He gets the vibe that JJ isn't as nic...

Re: JJ Watt released
Wherever he ends up, that team will have one new fan. Texans are trash from the top down and it's infuriating. I don't like anything out of LA but it would be fun to see JJ line up next to Aaron Donald. How do you stop that? Name a starting guard, center, guard combo that could block them. Talk abou...

Re: 2021 Future SEC Champions
Johnson's a good get even if he doesn't pan out as a starter. We need the depth and hopefully it's a sign that OL want to play at A&M. If you take away anything from last night's Super Bowl and the playoffs, the trenches matter. Patrick and A-aron have all the weapons in the world but the Cheifs' an...
